New Year,New Life And New Attitude.

This semester will be end soon. I has got into NCCU for over four months. In this time, I returned to practice break dance and tried hard to improve my skills. Now new year is coming. 2012 is really impressive. I was a bookworm but now I'm a college student. I can do what I really want and enjoy my own life.  Thanks to those who always encourage me not to give up dancing, and thus I learned a lot in this year.
The seventh blog I'd love to talk about how we dancers(not only b-boys) can always keep enthusiastic and what is the meaning of dancing for us. I think dancing is a way to show yourself. Without speaking, we use our body, our movement to express what we feel now. Usually we hear different kinds of musics and dance in different style. While dancing, we interpret the music and show our feelings with our bodies. To keep enthusiastic in dancing, listening to musics is the best way. When you listen to different musics, your mind will get a lot of feelings. Soon you'll find yourself can't help but dance.

Here is the link about 2012 all b-boys review and some attitudes about break dancers. Hope you enjoy!

Dance has to come from the heart and has to represent who you are in the inside, that's why we have to always be original.

New member in NCCU break dance club

Last Thursday, we had a new member, Teng Jin Gao. I introduce him to all of you because he is so special. He grew up in America. To our surprise, He is a Tibetan. Tibet is a mysterious country for most of us. What I though Tibetans before are all dressed in cassock. (袈裟) and all they are sincere and serious. However, Teng Po is very optimistic and very energetic. Although he is just a beginner, I can feel how actively he want to learn break dance. Unfortunately, as long as I wanted to share my experiences to him, I found myself not knowing how to express in English. Learning break dance for over three years, it's the first time to teach others in English. Thanks to another member, she interpreted for me. But it's really embarrassing that I have learn English for over six years but I still can't express clearly in it. Maybe form now on, I need to spend more time in English and don't doze off in English class. Without doubts, English is quite important for me.

First showcase in NCCU

Last Saturday, I joined the frist showcase in college life. It is really amazing that I
can perform on the stage again. I think performing to other people is quite different from practicing. On the stage, we share our happiness and enthusiasm to audiences. We enjoy dancing and we hope that those audiences can enjoy our performance. Even though I don't dance much part of show, I am still proud of all members in NCCU break dance club. Thanks to those who always encourage me. They truly help us a lot because confidence is very important  for dancing. Without them, I might not do vert well on the stage. This experience is really impressive and is helpful for my dancung life. Unfortunly, I had to join other class so that we didn't took a picture. Too bad!

By the way, Red Bull BC One international took place in Brazil on December 9th. If you are interested in it. Here is the link and hope you enjoy.

Be proud of Taiwan. Formosa Crew

Recently, an important international competition, Battle Of The Year, just ended in France and Formosa Crew won the forth place. This news really encourages all b-boys and b-girls in Taiwan. Exactly, every year Taiwanese crew can get very good grade in Battle Of The Year. Sometime we won the third place or just lose the final game. Although we don't win the champion, I think sooner or later we will get it and all Taiwanese will be proud of these dancers.

                                                                    Formosa Crew

Battle of The Year is one of the biggest game for B-boy and B-girl. All country can choose one of the best team on behalf of their own. One part of the game is showcase. The other is battle. First All teams need to perform a show that all themes can be used. There are five judges scoring all part of showcase, skills, creativity, Integrity, and so on....... The top 4 teams can join the battle part. Four teams battle with each other and five judges score again. In the end, which teams get the most grade in showcase and battle. They win the champion.By the way, there is also one-o-one battle.

Spotkight:Bboy Domkey

Today, I want to introduce a great break dancer, B-boy Domkey. Recently, b-boy Domkey, who comes from America, won The Red Bull BC One North America Qualifier. He has danced for ten years and I think he is really a great B-boy. While watching B-boy Domkey trailer, I can always feel his power and his enthusiasm for break dance and that just make me excited. No matter which elements of break dance, I think B-boy Domkey did very well. Domkey has his personal style. You can feel he is really enjoy dancing. Every move he did is quite clean and fast. Every part of his freeze or power move are also smooth. You'll never feel it tired and hard when seeing him dancing. I regard hims as one b-boy that is worth learning for me. And I hope one day maybe I can be a good b-boy like him.

Red Bull BC One is an international b-boy competition organized by the energy drink company. It is an one on one b-boy battle. Sixteen best  b-boys around the world compete for the first place every year, and there are five judges to decide which one win in the end of the game.Usually every one has two rounds to show himself. While in semi-final battle, there are more chances to fight for the champion.

The Same Language!!!

During the past two weeks, we seldom practiced together becasue our free time could not match. For bboys and bgirls, more people practice together, more inspiration we get from other dancers. Although break dance club in NCCU is smaller than most clubs in NCCU, there are lots of bboys and bgirls in other schools come to NCCU and join us. Last Friday, many dancers came  to NCCU. We didn't know each other before. However, we danced the same style. All of us enjoyed danceing and this helped us know others more easily. We talked about many bboy super stars, such us Hong 10,Taisuke,Roxrite and so on. We shared our feeling and we cheered for others' great moves. We were strangers but we seemed to be a family. We came from different places but we shared the same language, not by speaking, but by dancing. I think break dance is international language. We share, we dance, and we just have fun together. All bboys and bgirls around the world share the same language.
